Football Supporters’ International

The Football Supporters International network FSI was an independent union of various fan-related organisations that have taken up football supporters interests and provided and developed “fans’ embassy” services for football supporters travelling abroad for more than 15 years.

We think that there are enough issues that need to be acted upon in modern football that time has come for supporters both in fields such as ticketing, fan culture, discrimination and policing in football, to finally speak up, loudly and clearly, and develop a powerful, influential and independent representative voice within the structures of the game!

We’ve therefore started to work towards the establishment of a European network of football supporters that could protect and represent their interests on a European level. That is why the FSI organised the 1st European Football Fans’ Congress was held in London, on July 6th 2008.

More than 250 from 28 different countries had registered for the event that resulted in very lively debates and substantial suggestions for a future agenda of the network as well as in the presentation of an interims-committee. This steering committee, consisting of fans' representatives from 8 different European countries and the FSI Coordination is now in charge of organising the next conference, further developing the network and work out a constitution which should  serve as the basis for the democratic organisation of the network at the next events.

The next European Football Fans' Congress is taking place in Hamburg! Make sure you take part in this 2nd EFFC in Hamburg on 17-19 July 2009 & join the network!
