Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF)

The Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF) is basically the national voluntary supporters’ organization for all football fans. The organization comprises of more than 142,000 individual fans or supporters and members of local supporters’ organizations from every club in the professional structure and many from the pyramid. As we have already mentioned that Football Supporters’ Federation is the voluntary organization for football supporters. The Federation held regular meetings with the football authorities as well as with the Department of Culture Media and Sport to discuss a wide range of issues. These Divisions includes Northeast, Yorkshire, North West & North Wales, Midlands, Southern, and South West & South Wales.

The above mentioned divisions of Football Supporters’ Federation provide the members of this Federation an opportunity to get together and discuss all the essentials aspects of football as well as specific events and a range of supporters’ issues. However, the decisions and the recommendations made at the divisional meeting are generally fed back to Football Supporters’ Federation’s National Council. The divisions of this Federation also have the autonomy to conduct campaigns & activities themselves. They also further have a fund available for the members to be used for certain campaigning projects through their division.

The Football Supporters’ Federation also has a variety of publications for their members and interested parties. In their publications they informed about their work and issues regarding which the wider community of football fans are concerned. The Football Supporter is their flagship magazine, currently produced three to four times a year during the football season. Furthermore, FSF also publishes a regular newsletter for members, affiliates and associate organizations.
